Thanks!

My mother actually came to my house last night after I got home from the hospital and I was showing her all about Apo. Well, not 'all about' because I just tossed the design up in like 20 minutes from a blank flame and changing the actual settings to show her different stuff(usually, I spend hours on little details.). She goes, 'upload that and I'll buy it.' 'But, mom.. I haven't rendered or ran it through gimp to do a small layer-stack, mom!' 'I DONT CARE I WANT THAT ON MY WALL!' 'Yes, mother.. /hides'

So... I hope she still likes it enough after she sees it since the purples(petals) are brighter and the whole thing is a bit .. 'meatier' after layer-stack. That would pay for a whole year of membership if she does! (well, I'd have to buy it myself as she has no account, but, she said 'no problem I'll just give you the difference because I enjoyed watching this and picking colors!').

Sorry about the long story... lol. =)

not a problem about the long story, I like finding out stuff like that about people I talk to here.

that's cool, nobody in my family would ever buy my art, as far as they are concerned making fractals or really any art is a big waste of time...

thank you... if all goes well, I may be selling at least one soon... after I got the DD I got a bunch of new watchers and one of them said they wanted to buy a print of the DD... a little later the person said they wanted to make a book of my prints, so I'm hoping that means buying more than one...

This is fantastically smooth. No graininess what so ever. Great job!
Of all of the Blooms I've see, yours have had something unique about them from the beginning ;)

I'm happy you like it :highfive:

A few of the Orange lines have a little jagged edges(jaggies?) on them on the parts that are very thin Orange lines. Though.. I rendered at 4000 density, so, not sure what I should do about those other than increase Depth Blur. But, doing that would have really ruined the bright sections in the middle(well, to me, at least! :)). So, I kept the Depth Blur pretty low for this one.

It's definitely a really 'busy' looking bloom(possibly too busy.. but, they filled me full of too much pain medicine in the hospital for 2 days and when I got home last night, I think my mind was like, 'oooohhh pretty colors! haha) compared to what I usually make. I think the next one I make this weekend will try to go back to more... 'realistic' tones and shading.

Hope you have a great day.

A mixture of oversampling and editing of the filter radius should remove any "jaggies". It will usually solve your dilemma without visibly affecting the rest of the fractal.

If not, I heard you can just touch up the fractal in Photoshop or Gimp :XD:
It's usually faster.

Yeah, I run them all through gimp lol.

I just hadn't noticed the few jaggies till it was already uploaded. Ahh well :)

That's usually how it works - I didn't even know about jaggies until *fractal1 told me about the ones in this fractal: [link]

Well.. my mom actually picked the colors. My memory was still 'foggy' a little bit ago. Stupid hospital medicine. :x
